Counselling can be a place to slow down, reflect, and explore what matters - whether you’re facing something challenging or simply sensing that it’s time for change.
Working With Me
My style of counselling is relational, talk-based, and guided by genuine conversation rather than advice or diagnosis. I enjoy working with and have experience with all sorts of backgrounds and different ages and stages of life - I tailor my approach to suit each person’s context and needs. Alongside conversation, I sometimes draw on creativity or the natural world as gentle ways of thinking and reflecting. I don’t offer diagnostic assessments, crisis services, or urgent mental health support.
In-person sessions are offered on Saturdays, at Restore Wellbeing, Level 1 (upstairs), 552 Te Atatu Peninsula Road, Waitakere, Auckland. Sessions are 50 minutes long, with limited online sessions also available throughout the week. Individual in person and online sessions are $130.
About Me
I’m Nathan Ramsey, a counsellor who values thoughtful conversation, genuine connection, and the relief that comes from being heard, seen, and understood. I grew up outside of Kaikohe in the far north of Aotearoa New Zealand on a beef farm and now live in Auckland with my wife and 2 children. I hold a Bachelor of Health Science (Counselling) and a Postgraduate Diploma in Arts Therapy, and I’m a full member of the New Zealand Association of Counsellors (NZAC).
